Shinagawa steam kettles feature a proprietary design that allows them to be used for simple frying, too.

Since heat is delivered across the entire container surface, heat variations can be eliminated for boiled products, even without a mixer. In addition, thanks to a jacket that can deliver steam at a pressure of 0.5 MPa so that products can be heated to about 150°C, these kettles can also be used for simple frying.

•These kettles can be used to prepare products across a range of temperatures that is not possible with conventional steam kettles (up to a maximum temperature of 150°C).
•Since boiling generates convection currents that move from the inside toward the outside, as with gas-powered kettles, variations in heating are eliminated.
•High-pressure steam kettles have an initial cost that is one-half to one-third that of IH kettles.
